There you go again - you talk about "The AVR" as if this were some verified fact for the entire family under any and all conditions.

All you have actually found is that your particular sample of just one happens not to have yet degraded noticably under whatever conditions you happen to have tried it so far...

this something which is difficult to do with the 12/6clock '51

If you're so desperate for speed, why on earth are you using 12/6 clockers??!
