Whats wrong with learning two mcu's Nothing at all! In fact, taking my argument, it is best to know more than one MCU - so that you are then in a position to choose whichever one is most appropriate for the particular task at hand! ...or 3, or 4, ... 5 for that matter. When you get familiar with a larger number of MCUs one thing that will become apparent is that many applications simply do not make any difference what platform type they run on. With solid design and creative coding the application can often be independent of the platform. After saying that though, there are aspects (part of) some projects where the specific hardware or instruction set characteristics fit the problem solutions like the very most comfortable glove. Knowledge of 3, 4, 5, or even more platforms allows you to find the perfect gloves for any job. Michael Karas |
