Hi Valentin, Thanks for the info, to be honest I've never heard of Cyrod before so I Digikey ed the CRD89C51AD1T and it came up null, then I tried Farnell also come up null? I must admit though the spec looks good. Remember the AT89LP6440 20pu gives 20mips and sports a 10bit a/d and cost about £2.50/100 when it finally comes available at Digikey, in fact I enquired through Digikey about the AT89LP6440 and the ship date is estimated late February 2011, assuming I buy now. On the hand, the ATmega644 20PU is available from your local corner shop or just about which is why I'm going AVR. cheers JA Jason, While I'm not 100% certain, I seem to recall a ~$3USD unit price, when I inquired about those 1T devices over two years ago while ordering samples of a specific vanilla 51 flavor - samples which I had ordered directly from cyrod at the time. One major area where these guys may be at a disadvantage is a lack retail store chain representation a la Farnell/RS/Digikey etc. That said, they do appear to have local distributor in the UK - http://www.fmgelectronics.ie Might still be worth dropping them an email..
