In that case, you could try 25MIPS(peak) MCUs from Cyrod, they appear to be pin-compatible to the AT89C51 (don't know about 'ED2 compatibility though, you will have to check), have up to 64K Flash, are available DIP/SMD and 5V/3.3V variants and most of them even come with a Math coprocessor! I don't recall the unit pricing, but it was pretty competitive.. http://www.cyrod.com/PDF/MCU_Selector_Guide-2010.pdf Hi Valentin, Thanks for the info, to be honest I've never heard of Cyrod before so I Digikey ed the CRD89C51AD1T and it came up null, then I tried Farnell also come up null? I must admit though the spec looks good. Remember the AT89LP6440 20pu gives 20mips and sports a 10bit a/d and cost about £2.50/100 when it finally comes available at Digikey, in fact I enquired through Digikey about the AT89LP6440 and the ship date is estimated late February 2011, assuming I buy now. On the hand, the ATmega644 20PU is available from your local corner shop or just about which is why I'm going AVR. cheers JA |
