I believe I said something like "won't contribute", not "wouldn't fix". There are many ways to contribute besides writing code.


It doesn't stop the guys who complain. That's how the bugs get reported and subsequently fixed.


Bug reports are not complaints. I value bug reports--they help make the software better. Bug reports with patches are especially valued :-)
