Let me guess, you're about 22 right? Try 38. It's actually quite smart. When you're older you'll know why. I'm older. I still don't follow. Now you're showing your lack of experience. Keeping up with the latest techniques and technology is a job requirement for engineers. Just as it is for doctors and lawyers. It is a scientific fact that the brain is more adaptable below 30. Anyone with half a brain can find many reasons why any particular candidate "wasn't qualified". So shouldn't they be valid reasons? Adding predjudices like this in to the mix will cause one to skip over what could otherwise be a highly talented candidate. Disqualify them for not being qualified. Not because you don't like young people, or wish to tar them with the same brush. I'm not real fond of "baby boomers", but I hire them, work for them, etc... |
