#132623 - oh no, not again Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It pretty much does now. There are specialty applications that haven't and may never be written for Linux, but all the mainstream productivity tools, business and personal, are there. As are many specialty applications.
Which memeber of this forum cares ONE IOTA This is a 8052 forum, this is about tools for developing HW and SW for the '51 not about "business and personal" Many in the FOSS community would read it this way: "I'm too busy/important/snobbish to help out, but I sure wanna take what the rest of you schmucks produce, for free of course. Just don't ask me for anything in return." oh no, not again WHO ON EARTH ASKED YOU TO DO IT FOR FREE, if you choose to do so, is that my problem? I know you've got the talent to contribute, so how else should we interpret your statement? exactly as written "I am busy with other things". What reaction do you think I would get from my boss if I stated "the project you assigned me must wait a couple of months while I "contribute to the Linux community"" Certainly it's your right to choose to not contribute, but since you could, refusal to do so removes your right to complain. never heard a better argument AGAINST Linux.
