Now to make my own point: Idiots use the myth of feeble-minded older folk to justify all kinds of despicable discrimination. I view that as being no different than race or gender discrimination. And it is equally unjustified. Before you put yourself in that camp, remember that you'll one day be faced with it, if you aren't already. I believe there are many kinds of discrimination, or, which is almost the same, prejudices. I did not From my own experience, I am unable to perform the way I could 10-20 years ago. Reasons may be more - maybe not exactly the brain - the outcome is the same. I discussed this with many many people of my age and overall situation - and nobody said otherwise. Oh, BTW, Linux has been ready for the desktop for many years. It's the only thing I've used on my machines for at least six years now. I repeatedly failed to get it running _properly_ for ehm six years now, and it costed me a LOT of time and energy, believe me. I hate Wxx and stick to W98 as far as it goes so I do have a strong motivation. I admit, my failure might be caused by my progressing old age dementia... :-) Jan Waclawek (36) |
