In two words... device programmers. All the software I've seen is for Windows. I've explicitly gone looking for a Mac solution, and come up blank. There are some individual Linux efforts by various vendors (e.g Atmel's FLIP), but they're generally vendor specific and often incomplete.


So write one. I'm up to my ears doing that for Microchip PIC programmers at the moment else I'd be interested in doing it. Heck, if someone wants to provide me with the hardware, I'll find time to do it (but no promises as to how quickly).
