I've spent mucn of the last 6 months proving that XILINX tools for Windows aren't. There are things that appear immediately, obvious to anyone who's ever used a tool of this type, that make it obvious ISE v8.x was never even tried out before being released. They re-released it three times within 9 months and still had dozens of major bugs. Fortunately, some of the problems were resolved in their new v9 If course, as with v8, there was already a major re-release as v9.1 to fix bugs.
