Which facts, precisely, do you believe I didn't get straight?
THIS: There are functional replacements for all software that I, and most people, need There is NO "functional replacement" for the SILabs software, that will run under Linux; there is no "functional replacement", for the software for any ICE I know of that will run under Linux; there is no "functional replacement", for my J1708 tracer that will run under Linux; there is no "functional replacement" for ..... Are you certain of that? Let alone, that I would NEVER consider anything not as good a "functional replacement".
The Maserati/Yugo comnparison was specifically used to state that anything that is not as good, or better, is not a "functional replacement". Linux is not a Yugo and Windows is most certainly not a Maserati. I would never apply the "Maserati" label to WEindows, I am absolutely not a fan and consider it a piece of Gatesian crap; however when the best tool I can buy require a given OS, I will run under that OS Erik That's a wise choice. It's the price you pay for using what you use. It's probably quite liveable for you. Sadly, you're stuck with Windows. RE |
