I think 2003's interface was questionable too. That came after Office XP, didn't it? Anyway, Office XP was just annoying. Office 2007 was absolute nonsense to anyone that was familiar with the previous Office interface.

After they added the red lines under mis-spelled words in 97 I thought they where done.


It took a long time for me to go from either Office 6.0 or Office 97 (I can't remember which) to Office 2000. But 2000 is as far as I'm going. After that the interface just gets to distracting and different.

And as for Office 2000 and Vista: Yes, it does work.
