If you shop, a ~3 GHz notebook PC with a GB of RAM and a big enough HDD costs Richard, So much for your powers of observation... I'm guessing you haven't taken a look in the last 6 years. Most people don't know this, but under the hood MacOS X is BSD Unix running on a Mach kernel. Apollo, IBM, SGI, and Sun all used to make a ton of money selling BSD Unix desktops as high end technical workstations. "Mac OS X, because making Unix user friendly was easier than fixing Windows." |
