Well, you can probably install most non-MS software in a location of your choice. Also, in "international" versions of Windows, the "Program Files" folder does have a different name. What's really annoying are programs that seems to have "Program Files" hard-coded in their installation routine. On a non-English version of Windows, you'll end up with the "actual" program files folder (called differently), and a folder named "Program Files" and some programs in it who had their installation routines written by idiots. |
