How are you using your laptop? Is it a desktop-replacement? I'm not Craig, but for all intents and purposes, my MacBook Pro and my old ThinkPad G40 are desktop replacements. I haven't turned on the Athlon box in months. I can't imagine having two displays while sitting in a coach seat on a flight from LAX to Logan, and I can't imagine hauling two displays with me either. When I'm in the airport or sitting on the couch surfing the Intertubes whilst watching the basketball playoffs (Go Suns!) of course I'm not using the second display. But when I'm in the office, I plug in a regular keyboard and mouse, the Gigabit ethernet, and hook up the second monitor and I'm ready to get to work. (FWIW, Mac OS X handles switching between single-monitor setups and dual-head a lot better than XP does.) -a |
