you would see that I stated (not quoting literally) "bank switching is not needed, if you want to support those that believe that >64k has a place in a '51 use the MX/669 method instead. It is even supported by the compilers.
Frieder, you make the rounadabout argument that because the compiler support it it is needed. Well the compiler support e.g. malloc as well. That some archaic approach exist and is discussed, do not make it the right choice for a new chip. Erik |
