#126841 - That does not appear to be the target. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The target is not 40 Pin DIP replacment.
It is to replace the single sourced stuff that has been discontinued. The Buyers want to take the part burn in the same code, and drop it in to the same socket. Faster is different. I assume he hopes to have a foot in the door for new buisness or upgrades. Some customers appear to want to change code, but not all I assume he could add the 6 / 12 clock mode that some chips have. Filling out a 87C750 to 64K could not hurt, and Flash would be great, if you can get a programmer to support it. (That explains the high price the Ceibo Kits get on eBay, I must put mine up before you finish and kill the market) Lynn You may want to look at chips that already have more than 64K and see how they handle the extra space. I think the ability to map some to XDATA is a great idea. But in the end You may have to waste some. (An 87C750 with Banking is just silly) |
