#113072 - It's more than 20 minutes, even at 3 a.m Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Not too long ago, I worked for about a year in the Centennial Airport area, and found that, irrespective of weather or traffic, because of poor freeway access from where I'm located, it took about 35 minutes to get there. In rush hour, it was worse, so I typically went in later and went home after 6.
Some years earlier I had an engagement at what was then Honeywell Test Instruments division, and later became Metrum Information Storage, near South Holly and Dry-Creek Rd. Getting there took even longer. I hate even visiting that Arapahoe Rd area east of I-25. I remember this one woman and her Chevy Suburban with four kids running wild inside while she talked on two cellphones at once while steering with her elbows. It made me very much afraid of that part of town, which we often refer to as SUV-city ... I think it contains more resident SUV's than grey-cells. I quit working there about three years back, and haven't been back to that part of town, even for a visit. It gives me the "creeps." RE |
