#112651 - Move to CA in 1979 .. never looked back. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Ian,
California is a very big place. Any quip that attempts to describe it can only struggle to be more than trite. I've heard positive and negative opinions for just about any destination you could imagine worldwide. When i used to travel a lot i seemed to find "you take your party with you". Sausalito, Ojai, San Louis Obispo, San Diego, San Francisco, Napa, Santa Rosa, Salinas, Needles, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara; all distinct with different attributes and opportunities. Climate varying from the Mohave Dessert's low lying dryness, or Humbolt Country's verdent green, to the Sierra Nevada mountains makes CA seem more diverse than many places you could visit. Although i live in the Los Angeles area, my personal preference (and goal) is San Louis Obispo as its central location and college town atmosphere i find personally attractive. regards, p |
