The point is "if you can not guess the result you are dangerous with a calculator, you have no isea if the result is correct ot the result of a miskey". i merely referenced the slide rule as a means of teacing how to know if a result is reasonable. Because of myn slide rule use (years ago) I can immediately tell if a result on a calculator is "reasonable", not if it is "precise".
