I think someone coming to the 8051/2 would make similar comments about having to get to grips with all the different memory spaces - DATA, IDATA, On-chip XDATA, Off-chip XDATA, PDATA, CODE,... And 8051/2s with on-chip Flash and XRAM often have a bunch of registers to do with configuring, enabling, and protecting it... So I think this is just a matter of familiarity - rather than any of these actually being inherently easier or harder to use? |
