Probably not huge in eyes of the chipmakers, I'm afraid.

Consider that the iPad is selling millions per month - and that's just one product from one company.

they (IC manufacturers) will loose a pretty big business.

But that's not to say that there aren't still products with MCS51 shipping in real volume - I'm sure there are!
