I suppose you get the picture. Neither of these two care that much about whether the resulting design/firmware is optimal. The just care whether THEY got what THEY wanted. Of course, sometimes it's a successful outcome that they want, but that's the exception rather than the rule. Many times in the design process, a given outcome is achieved, but one always wants to make progression. So, one decides to do exactly as you put it. Start with a general idea and figure it out, find out that it works rather well, but what can be done to make it better in the future? I was trying to see if someone could bypass the iteration that is inherent in the engineering process. |
