Just how many 8052 based chips are pin to pin compatible across manufacturers, which contains, ADC, PWM, timers, reset, EEPROM etc?

Even I am reluctant to get locked to one manufacturer, but if you want a compact low cost single chip solution for a product, I think this is the only way.
