#176511 - "Simple" (sic) questions Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Yes, although something may seem "simple" at first glance, Real Life is often (usually?) very much more complex.
This is particularly noticeable when you step-up from the hobbyist one-off to trying to manufacture stuff on a commercial scale. As I said to you before: I said:

40 messages in the topic! WOW! For a simple (sic) code! Never dismiss as "simple" that which you don't understand! This just goes to show that there is a whole lot more to fully specifying, designing & implementing an appropriate & workable solution than simply saying "gimme code"! Example: When we started secondary school ("high school"?), in Physics class, we used g=10ms-2 (acceleration due to Earth's gravity) because it's close enough, and it makes the maths easy - it let us concentrate on the principles without getting bogged-down in arithmetic. In later years, we learned that it's not quite that simple; it's not constant over the whole earth, and 9.81ms-2 is actually a better "average" figure. |
