Not direct 'hex-file-drop-in', but certainly less effort than moving to a new core, which NXP-Marketing seems to imagine users will do!!

With a little care, (and some room) you can make one hex file auto-run on two variants, so some designs could have a comfortably soft transition.

Nuvoton also do Wide Supply Cortex-M0 devices, so you can use them for all your uC.
