#185709 - a thing I do when developing with the 12x/13x Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have printed out all 370x pages of the data sheets and I'm enjoying my afternoon reading/learning about my new friend.
I think one problem with the SILabs chips is too much information. I have found that a not uncommen error of mine (and otheres) was SFRPAGE screwups. what I have done to get rid of that problem is to make my own SFR definitions e.g. not TCON, but S0TCON not P1 but SGP1 etc and I find the symbolic names got the SFRPAGE values abhoarble. it is dead easy to spot the rrror in SGSFRPAGE = oxf; .. ... .... ..... ... ... S)TCON = 0x47; another advantage of the SFRPAGE number in the SFR name is thatyou do not gave to look it up. this works for me, is it the best way for everybody? who knows. also you may want to visit http://www.cygnal.org/scripts/Ultimate.cgi Erik |
