Thanks Eric for the tip to SilLabs. First look, I like what I am seeing. I think this will be my new home.
History.... Started with 6805. Then 8051... ... 8751/8752 (for many years!)... ... P89C668 (until oboslete)... ... P89V664 - just recieved the notice yesterday from Digi-key. I'm going have to move on from NXP!(Previously, Phillips) Sorry to break the 25 year marriage! Welcome SiLabs! It should note that we still use the SiLabs C8051F005, which is obviously one of their earliest devices. It's still in production. I have no idea what SiLabs' policies regarding EOL but they seem to keep everything available. (We also use various other parts they make, depends on the I/O requirements and such.) -a |
