Like an oscilloscope, a logic analyzer needs to know when to trigger. That's the only way you'll know whether the event you're seeking ever occurs. It might simply not occur because you've defined the trigger condition incorrectly. In that case you won't find it in the PC either. In that case you won't have a trigger on the LA either... I believe with a bit of work I can look for the trigger real time on a contemporary PC at 1MB/s rate. And I don't mind if I find it a second or two later than it occurs, it just grabs a couple of MB more data, but that really does not matter. I repeat myself, quick'n'dirty the idea is, but I believe it might work in an usable way. JW |
