Sorry, it was late last night, and I had apparently slept while posting the timing info.

I dont want to see whether a bit or byte is getting transfered, but to probe the status info from the SFD, FIFO and FIFOP pins(enough). For this reason only I had thought that a parallel port LA would do the job fine.
