I believe nowadays you would barely found a mention of the '51 (and 'x96 for that matter) on the Intel's website - maybe at their "museum" site, if at all. They also dropped (sold, spun off, whatever) the memory business (through the short-lived Numonyx venture) - the proclaimed core business of Intel since its origins. Nowadays they appear to be ashamed of the fact that they played key role in the most of what digital electronics is today, desperately striving to be The Computer Processor Company. JW |
