Well, in addition to what's already been mentioned, you could also look at either Nuvoton or Megawin to see if they have something suitable..

Whilst I can completely understand your preference for through-hole parts (I worked with it exclusively for the best part of a decade), I will point out that in doing so you are seriously limiting your choices in this regard..

EDIT: Check long-term availability of any DIP variants of interest to assess whether they'll phase the DIPs out anytime soon..
