I looked at this table: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/produ...ily_id=760 and I saw that many AVR models were not listed as having a DIL packaging option.

Maybe I misinterpreted the table and/or maybe the table is not exhaustive in its list of packaging options - but it looked to me that only a limited subset of AVRs is actually available in DIP?
