Erik It's hard to disagree with your premise, but there are some questions that arise. First of all, since the datasheet indicates the minimal settling time of the ADC is 2.5 microseconds, megaherts sample rates are unlikely. You'd know more about this than I, so if that's wrong, please let me know. A quick search for "sample rate" yielded nothing. My view is that what one is doing, here, is using the fairly flexible 'F12xDK (?) as the conversion/sampling mechanism, using a minimal amount of external hardware. That means using something that's otherwise in the Eval Board box. Since it's in-house for other reasons, I don't think the italicized phrase above applies. Further, I believe that, once one has built one app for such a product, the DK becomes a candidate for other app's as well. That's what I did with the parallel-port-equipped PC for a couple of decades. As one uses it, more uses become apparent. RE |
