#178554 - Scope time!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
How do you actually "turn off" the power?

You need to get a scope and see what's actually happening when you "turn off" the power:

  • Are there any spikes or glitches on the processor's power pins?
  • How does the supply voltage decay?
  • What happens at the reset pin?

Probably easiest if you use a Storage scope...

             Quite possibly            01/01/70 00:00
