What about a synchronous chopper on both inputs? I was thinking this could be made to work.

If you sum the signal with, say, a 2 kHz square wave, wouldn't it get through and into the sampled 2-channel data set? Once there, it wouldn't be hard to subtract it out. One side, after all, would be at nominal GND+square wave.

An attenuator would be desirable anyway, or perhaps even an AGC.

I haven't yet given it much thought yet, but maybe ...

What do you think?
