Aren't they normally more costly than used 100 MHz 'scopes on eBay? I'm after something that someone in East African countries like Mozambique or Borundi can afford. You Europeans can pay 10K Euros for an instrument, but many of those guys live on a few hundred dollars per year. It's their predicament that I would like to see addressed. They want to improve their lot by improving their knowledge. No amount of discussion of economic feasibility will help them when their problem is financial feasibility. BTW, IIRC, the heart of the old trigger circuits was a tunnel diode. RE |
