#178634 - Well, I haven't tried it Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Mainly for want of format conversion software, I haven't tried to fit this into a 'scope software package. I don't remember what the peak sample rate of the DK is, but it's probably adequate to watch the Vcc. I wonder if it's adequate to watch the RESET behavior as well. That might be interesting enough.
Since I have the equipment to do this without the DK, I doubt I'll be sufficiently motivated, myself. If someone wants to make this a weekend project, I suspect that PC-'scope of one sort or another software will handle the display task, though. I doubt that 8K samples will be enough, though. I suspect it will be necessary to detect a trigger event of some sort in a continuous sample stream yet have a considerable buffer depth so one can "see" the behavior of a couple of digital events, too. It might be sufficient to know which of several digital events it was that triggered the sweep, but I'd also guess it will take about 128k samples to make the experiment really interesting. The display will point out events of interest, but the data itself will be the most revealing. RE |
