For observing power supply rise and fall, it should be more than adequate, shouldn't it? Further, it offers two channels, so one could observe both filtered and filtered/regulated supplies.

Surely there's some pain to be endured, and some input conditioning required, due to low input impedance of the sound card, but for a few applications, mightn't this be just the thing for folks who otherwise would be "scope-less"?
