Most people aren't so dumb that they buy components before they figure out what they'll do with 'em.
is that not the Ops point, i have a garage full of stuff what do i do with it Erik He was more specific. He said he has a cargo van of printers, parts, etc. He has an 80C31 with which he wants to do "something." He wants an assembler and asked for recommendations. He can probably find the parts he needs to implement his 80C31 circuit, if he has a schematic, from within his assortment of printers. After all, what he needs is a few latches and an external program memory. Aside from that he needs something to use as a console, and maybe a monitor program, and some way of loading his program in to his program memory. If he's imaginative, he might even find a BBRAM in one of those printers or what-not, and that might make programming easier. It's all in what he can imagine, and the datasheets he reads. The "I have a garage full of stuff. What do I do with it?" is a common problem, and not just with electronics. RE |
