#177602 - Isn't this about what the O/P wanted? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Can you show even one example of code that the SiLabs folks provided, perhaps just to turn off everything that isn't standard 805x hardware?
no such code needed, most of the SILabs variant are so that nothing need be 'turned off'. You seem to base all your SILabs rhetoric on the f12x/f13x Isn't that the EVK that was recommended? The O/P wants to program a standard 805x in assembler. Nearly every manufacturer of that chip provides extensive code snippets showing how to manipulate the SFR's associated with the on-board peripherals. SiLabs doesn't do that ... they do it in 'C'.
and so friggin' what. I suggest you find ANY manufacturer that provide code for e.g. the IIC interface in asm. Maxim/Dallas provides an example of IIC done in ASM. IIRC, ATMEL does too. Bear in mind, too, that the O/P wasn't interested in IIC. I'd suspect that even a neophyte would understand that, once he encounters a need for IIC, he should consider a device with support for it built in. If a guy wants to program in ASM, don't you think it's more convenient to have the code examples that show you how to operate the part written in the language you want to use?
you are trying to get investors for a buggy-whip factory Nope ... I'm trying to focus on what the O/P wanted to do. Erik Once again, we're wandering off into what we think the O/P should want rather than on what he does want. RE |
