You can give him a valid answer to the question he's asked, and that's not always true, depending on the question. If you limit your remarks to a straightforward answer, like "METALINK", to whatever question he's posed, then he will have to take that at face value and eventually ask the reasonable questions that follow. He's asked a question everyone can understand, followed by one that everyone can't. If you answer the one he's asked, he's likely to come back with the follow-on questions.
