#144150 - We have all these old nuclear weapons ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
and we spend a LOT of money dismantling them, about $120E6 each, IIRC. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense simply get our troops out of Iraq, and then reduce the place to a burnt cinder... well, maybe not the Kurdish portion but certainly the Arab portions bordering Syria, Arabia, Kuwait, and Iran.
Those people just want to die anyway, else they wouldn't behave as they do, and who would miss them? Let's do them a favor and destroy them and their land, toxifying it to such an extent that nobody can even safely fly over it at less than 40000 feet for the next million years. We should probably force the people who backed entry into the war to reimburse the U.S. Treasury for the expense of this unprofitable adventure, too. I see no way in which it could have benefitted anyone other than the war profiteers, to go and destroy the one and only essentially secular regime in the middle east. If G.H.W. Bush hadn't been mad at Saddam because he tried to have him killed, things probably would have gone differently. Since he's the one pulling the strings on his nearly-moronic religious fanatic son, who can only barely speak and probably never reads and writes, he's the one deserving the blame. RE |
