I dont know where you are getting your figures for the estimated age of the universe but a simple google search gave this interesting link
http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~wright/age.html And I dont know where you are getting your figures for the rate of mutation within a species or how you would even start to convert that figure into how long it take to evolve from a self replicating melecule to a bacteria for example. The fact is that i dont think anyone knows but given the choice of either it was done by magic by some mysterious figure or it was done by accident, i'll go for accident every time. I dont thing you need to drag Godel into it the reason that creationism cannot be disproved is because it isnt a proper scientific theory, it just says someone desided to create everything one day for no apparent reason and you have to believe him or he will dome down and kick your teeth in. |
