An existentailist would say that God is the creation of man and Nietzsche would say that god is dead.
The need for the esistance of a God or whatever you want to call it appears to be a hardwired function of the human psyche, it seems that humans cannot accept the idea that we are here totally by accident. The idea that the estimated 100 billion galaxies visable in the observable universe each containing 100 billion stars are here simply for the existence of humans the human race who were placed here by a god who guides their existance and answers their feeble prayers is a mind numbingly stupid idea. Thats 1^22 stars that where put there so that teenagers can go 'oh wow look at the stars' when they are stoned. the idea of a god who created all of the universe in 6 days and had a kip on the seventh comes from a time when all of the universe was about the distance that you could throw a stick. |
