People who argue that evolution doesnt work because of the time scales involved are using the same specious agrument as people who claim that mankind is destroying the world by causing global warming without concidering the fact that the worlds climate changes naturaly over a period of hundreds if not thousands of millions of years.
The world has been around for something like 4500 million years which is about a third of the estimated age of the universe it seems to me that that is a pretty long time and its about the time it takes for galaxies to form, so something which is stunningly spectacularly unlikely to happen is going to happen a lot during that time.

I am sorry but the old testiment is a mixture of myth, oral history, and moral teachings, the new testiment is a story about someone who may have existed or may be a mixture of the hundreds of self appointed phrophets and rebel leaders who were around at the time of roman ocupation of what we now call palestine.As usual the story contained in the bible has been hijacked, suppressed and modified by people with their own aggenda starting from around the first century.
Creationism is a completely unprovable idea which belongs to an age when people belived that the world was controlled by the gods of the wind and the mountians who needed to be appeased with the sacrifice of random virgins.
And before you ask, no I dont know any random virgins
