#169047 - Jimmy Neutron/Phineas & Ferb Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Tony,
Read my post carefully. Okay. You wrote Now treat them as 1 port to the PC with appropriate buffering etc. (emphasis added) It's been well said that the devil is in the details. "... with appropriate buffering etc." reminds me of the Jimmy Neutron and Phineas & Ferb cartoons that my youngest son loves so much. They decide to build a rocket ship and that same afternoon they're exploring outer space and meeting aliens. In point of fact it is indeed possible to build a rocket ship and travel into outer space, and it's also possible to do what you describe. But there's a lot of detail being glossed over, more than enough to strain credulity, both in my son's cartoons and by the phrase "with appropriate buffering etc.." If you actually did what you describe simply, then one of two things is true. Either you have a circumstance of incredibly fortuitously restricted requirements, or you really don't understand the word "simply." Joe |
