#168329 - Side note, multiple COM ports Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Everybody,
First, to Walter, I would reiterate what Erik recommended. Since you will be using the UARTs to communicate with the host PC, use a chip with I²C built-in to communicate between the µ-controllers. Now concerning the idea of having multiple µ-controllers connected to the host PC, has anyone had any experience with these new FTDI chips that provide multiple UARTs (dual or quad) to a single USB connection? How about sharing your experiences? Did they work well? Were they frustrating? Were they a breeze/nightmare to program? Just curious, Joe |
