#187736 - Tests Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Since it is a capable scope (I hope) I need to prepare some good tests to verify its performance. I will do the following using FPGA board:
1. Generate 1 square wave using FPGA board and increase the frequency gradually to see when the square wave will become sine wave and verify the rise and fall times of the scope. 2. I will generate narrow pulse train of width 1 to 20 nSec by varying the length of delay line to see If it can trigger or capture these pulses properly as per this schematic or would this cause instability (oscillation). delay line ___ -----UUU------ squre wave | | input | | | __ | __ .-----. -| . | -| . | G | | )o-------o---| | )o- pulse output |_-_-_|-------|__/ -|__/ | | '-----' 3. Generate two square waves and change the phase shift as low as 1nSec to see if it can capture this little phase shift. Any other points I can use to verify the operation of my new DSO when it arrives? Mahmood |
