Ask about warranty, and how it's enforced. Ask about return shipping. Make sure you get probes that are compatible and of adequate bandwidth and, preferably, switchable impedance.

Find out about "accessories" and the like. What will you do if you need something later? It's easier if you order the "accessories" when you order the instrument, as, that way, you'll have it when you need it.

Be sure you have all the characteristics in mind BEFORE you order. Make sure it's exactly what you want.
